i am seeking a hobbyist in hamburg, germany area.  i am an experinced hobbyist with over 10 years uder my belt.  i paint well and make amazing scenery.  i am looking for an opponent and universal gaming buddy.  i am american.  it would be nice if you can speak german and english... but intermediate english is a must.

Where is Illeshiem?  How far is it from here by car or train?  You play BTs?  I hace a BT army in NY.  I have started a small IG army here. 

Do you have a table?  I will be beginning one soon, after I finish my first new squad.  If you don't, we can work on mine together... or build one for each of us together (better!).  Over the years, I have built many tables.  For myself or work, I worked for GW for about 5 years,  and  now I have nothing to play on.  I have sold a few tables and have given a couple away (hundreds of hours of time).  This time I am going to make a city.  And I want something that I am willing to play on for the rest of my life.

Illesheim is the vicintiy of Bad Windsheim, about half hour or so from Wurzburg, hour from Nurenburg. I dont have a table, no room to bring one over, but tons of terrain and now a huge city in the process of being constrcted. I have plenty of armies, actually have three up and ready to go with the others not too far behind.

Im just back from the states now so maybe we can take a look at distances and work out a game.

hey guys. im from hamburg-harburg (living there close to the tuhh) and just wanted to post something similar like you did hedgebeats.

atm i have a gaming group in bad oldesloe, a city half way to luebeck with relative easy DB connection where we have a group of 4 other guys playing blood angles and 2 times chaos.i play tyranids, nearly done painting all the 2k points and tau (just startet - atm playing around with the color sheme).a room mate of mine from HH plays imperial guards (if he playes - wich is quite rare).we play on a for fun basis. i.e. we try to play "what you see is what you get" only on a personal "for style" basis.if the models dosnt match exactly its no problem.

i was looking for some more guys, to get some other opponents and get some different races and colors on the table.

I am interested in meeting you.  Maybe sometime in the next couple of weeks we can meet.  We can swap tips and stories and check out each other's armies.  At this point my army isn't an army.  I have a 1500 pt BT army in the USA.  Here I have an IG army I have begun working on.  I am apretty high level hobbyist, so I take my time... and it's a hobby... so I am in no rush.  My first 2 troopers are nearly complete.  But this army will not get bigger than a platoon a, storm trooper squad, an HQ, a tank, and a sentinal squad.  After I get to this point, I am going to switch back to BTs for a while.  I want to do a squad of assault termies and a Chaplain.

I have some scenery plans.  Scenerey is what I am best at.  I will begin an imperial city once I have finished the 2 squads of Guardsmen on my painting table.
