As per title, is it worth replacing the chainsword or chainaxe for a plasma pistol in a couple of your zerkers? And if so, which one do you replace?
In addition, do you give anything to the champ?

I am inclined to think the pistols are worth it, and should replace a couple of axes. Zerkers will always have transport, so the range is not an issue, and they need the help against heavies.
I also think I'd replace the axe instead of the sword, simply because the more attacks zerkers do, the more likely to get extra attacks against Imperium forces.

I am not sure what to give the Bezerker Champ tho... I usually give him a powerfist, at least.

Berzerkers aren't a toolbox unit, they are a Chainaxe. They are meant to rip through infantry like hot butter and they should focus on doing that. If you need anti-tank, you've got melee walkers: Helbrutes, Decimators, Blood Slaughterers, Contemptors, and Scorps.

I think losing two chainswords or chain axes to equip two plama pistols is ok. But normal pistols are not. swopping a normal pistol for a chainaxe is always worth it and.

Losing two extra normal attacks for a S7 pistol shot that can be overcharged to S2, 2 dmg is worth considering. But not for the rest.

Everyone with the Chainsword and Axe makes sense, but definitely include the Plasma Pistols. For once they actually do something and help give an edge vs larger targets.
