Since i am just starting out with Tau, i was wondering if it is worth it to take Drones with a FW Squad or not.

Nope. Buy them with Crisis suits and as their own units of more than two. It's also worth it to buy them for Commander if he's deepstriking with Crisis suits.

Reason is killpoints games where every unit of 2 drones bought with FW or anything count as a killpoint of their own. Then again bigger units are weaker to morale, but that's alright. If they grab wounds instead of suits they've done their job and you get to shoot another round with your suits.
