Hi all,

First post here so nice to meet you all.

I'm looking for help picking parts for a conversion I'd like to have a crack at. Basically I love the bit of art on p37 of the new 8th edition book - the right of the "ecclesiarchy" page. I like the whole piece but was specifically wanting to build a model for the female knight and serpent on the left of the image. I'd like to have a crack at building the central pulpit as terrain and the priest on the right but that's a conversation for another time. I was wondering what parts people thought I should use.

Parts I need (I don't mind going 3rd party if there's a better fit):

Torso - sister of silence or celestine/germinae torso

Legs - The legs on the reference image are posed close together the of sisters of silence ones that seem the obvious fit are all quite spread apart, and both those and the germinae legs looks pretty light weight to me anyway whereas the image has really powerful/oversized legs which is one of the most striking features of it. I thought I could use stormcase paladin legs but are these going to be massively in the wrong scale even for this? I like the segmented plate as well on here, so ideas on this would be much appreciated

Arms - sister of silence greatsword arms

Pauldrons - sister of silence probably but anyone know any that are a little bigger or a better fit for the image?

Spear - stormcast huge spear guys (pretty sure that's the offical name? Paladin protectors according to google but I expect that's a common misconception)

Head - I couldn't find any GW female heads that were totally bald, although I could get pretty close using some kind of elf/dark eldar head and filing the hair off, but they do look different to human heads. Note the morose/neutral facial expression is pretty core to the image.

Halo - could come from the stormcase range? Might not be too hard to sculpt

Snake - I could mostly sculpt I guess, although it's got a weird gargoyle type face. Anyone know of a gargoyle looking head I could use? It just reminds me of this guy....

Anyone got any advance on these, or other useful suggestions? I'm not exactly a master converter or sculptor but in my ignorance would have a crack at pretty much anything.

Finally - I'm thinking I'll probably play her as a lone eviscerator cannoness mixed in with my guard/inquisition army. I'm calling this as quite a powerful (but hopefully not too trolly) include for imperial armies anyway, as a lone SoB character gets to have that act of faith all to herself each turn. An ordos hereticus inquisitor with thunder hammer would work as well.

Right - sorry for the rant I hope I've not sent you all to sleep. Cheers in advance for any help.

Hmm the legs seem to be the sisters of silence legs.

the ridges on the thigh kinda match the model.

Toros works too.

The shoulder pads are going to be hard.

the halo looks like you can cut it out of thin plastic card then 3d it with some green stuff.

The head. phd nailed it with this one but i dont know what its from

for the sssssssssnake?

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

I would think a cut up/repositioned St. Celestine would be quite nice for the body (comes with a halo and wings too), you could cut off a sister of silence's pony tail to get the bald head. The staff could be taken from a Custodes model. As for the snake? I'd say sculpting is the way to go there.

Some goods calls here. I hadn't even noticed the image gad wings!

I guess maybe this is actually meant to be celestine :$

Think a combo of celestine and a sister of silence might work. I'll have to get the bits and have a look.

cheers all!
