I have a bunch of old brushes and want to try to restore them. In each case, the brush no longer comes to a fine point, there's some paint particles up near the ferrule. This includes some Windsor Newton and GW brushes.

Heard some good things about Windsor Newton's Brush Cleaner and Restorer and Lindseed Studio Soap. Has anyone ever tried them? Think it might help in this case?

I also have a lot of solvents sitting around, including Mineral Spirits, VM&P Naptha, and Turpentine. Worth trying any of these on the brushes, at least for testing?

Thanks!

Yeah, I use Masters on all my good brushes frequently, and it keeps them in nice condition.

These are old brushes, I have used Masters on them and it's not getting the job done. Looking at other solutions.
