What is everyone's thoughts on the Master-crafted auto vs stalker bolt rifle? I'm thinking equipping him with power sword and the auto bolt rifle.

definatly the autobolt rifle, it synergizes better with the power sword.

My power armoured Primaris Captain will basically just be buffing my ranged units with his nice re-roll aura, so I have given him the stalker rifle, for the range it has. The AP is nice as well, but just one shot is a bit underwhelming.

Even without magnetizing, it's taken years for me to finish building all my armies (I mound line everything lol) I guess I'll have to be content with great looking models vs perfectly useful models in every situation XD I magnetized my more expensive models though especially Forgeworld

I was given one as a gift here, and I'm going to build & paint it up as a Blood Angels Primaris Captain for possible future use.

That said, the model comes with a bolt pistol and a Master Crafted Auto Bolt Rifle as standard, with the option to swap out to the Stalker Bolt Rifle. I'd want to see the point cost difference between the two options, but unless I was going to have the captain with a long range/fire support base, I'd almost always go with the master crafted auto bolt rifle. It allows him to shoot more effectively. More shots is almost always more advantageous on a model that hits on 2+ , especially if the shots are only S:4. Magnets will certainly help keep options open, though.

I plan on spicing mine up with a few Blood Angels bits & shoulder pads as a display project if nothing else, to include the optional power sword.

I did not give him a Power Sword, no. Since his job is just to buff my ranged guys I did not want to spend much points on him.

He is just 92 points with that loadout, which is a little bit more expensive that a lieutenant, but still pretty cheap for what he brings. Re-rolling ones is great, atleast until higher point games where you can just bring Guilliman instead. If you're Ultra.
