I'd still want anti tank weapons at 500. Some transports are pretty nasty.

You could do
Company commander, Lord Commissar, Ministorum Priest
2x30 Conscripts
3 Infantry squads w/ Lascannon and plasmagun

6 CP rerolls for the lascannons, characters to move with the blobs.

I should probably respond to the one you posted aside from lacking AT weapons.

I'm still not sold on rough riders, they look a little better now but not great. Sort of the same with mortars. At 500 I don't know how many good targets there would be for ratlings either, but they're pretty nice.

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

You should try to fit an astropath in there, they're only 15 points. I agree with Rahxephon on the rest though. Lascannons will be able to deal with any dreadnought or similarly tough units you might run into. I'm liking mortars so far myself though. They're so cheap its hard for them not to do something useful.

And I really like the ratlings as a distraction. Stash them somewhere where they can plink your enemy, but not near an objective or as an easy kill. Your opponent will have to either ignore them, or waste time killing a cheap unit while you get to shoot him more from range.

Thanks for the great feedback guys. Two 30 conscripts is gonna be tough to stop. Rerolls is very sweet too. Yes Mortars can camp a backfield objective and still hit most anything.

Looking in Battlescribe I cannot find the priest. Did they get moved or am I going blind? Would this list be a patrol detachment or something else?

Priests are technically Adeptus Ministorum, but its all Imperium faction so you don't need to split the detachments. They just won't be able to ride inside any AM vehicles.

And Astropaths are also in the Adeptus Astra Telepathica (edit: although they also list AM now that I look at my index, so THEY can ride in your vehicles). They look like they cost more, but you can trade out their worthless staff for a laspistol to make them cheaper.

The AM faction section in the index really doesn't cover all the units that are traditionally available in the AM, but those like the Telepathica and the Inquisition aren't really full factions anyway.

However, if you do an AM only detachment, you can also bring a GSC detachment, but technically you're playing GSC! hah!

edit: also don't forget about assassins! They're also their own sub faction, so you probably won't see them listed in battlescribe either. They don't list AM.
