hey,

I use to play space wolves acouple years ago with some friends. i remember some rumors of this xeno hunters army which just really peaked my interest(i love the greyknights too). Fastforward to about a month ago i was at this hobby store and they had the deathwatch battleforce for a really good price.i grabbed that and 2 dw rhinos and iam now thinking about what to add to my force (really corvus or landraider-they still have the dw one on sale). i eventually want to have a imperial force with inq hq options. imperial guard detachment and my deathwatch. idk if i will get back to my space wolves or not, i also have tons of old pewter marines and dark eldar and orks from my older brother that iam going to sell and try and use some for conversion. iam also super busy so i havent even been able to paint my stuff yet( moving around)

anyway iam looking forward to getting back into it, mostly just going to focus on painting things up the best i can at the moment, but i do want to start playing atleast semi regularly at some localgamingstore( one i go to doesn't hold games and is like a giant hobby warehouse). i joined this forum to post my own painted models if i think they are good enough and to get back into and learn some tactics and rules from all you seasoned pro's.

i hope i can find some good people to matches against, i had really bad experiences with 2 friends i first started playing with (just cheating and powergaming and making the game unfun to the point i wouldnt bother playing them and no one else would either)javascript:emoticon('');

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

your mind

Hey. I understand the feeling about old friends who are A hoes on the tabletop, always pushing their orks an extra half inch, always reading rules for themselves without regard to the fairness of the 'meta'. ... Lawyers. Ick.

The Deathwatch stuff sounds awesome. Run with it!
I love my landraider crusader - non-DW as it is.
And, I also have a bunch of pewter marines needing finished attached to an Inq warband with a few Inquisitors and a couple of squads of Sisters, all the cool stuff that I picked up along the way.

My community extends solely to this forum, and another but I am not so active on that anymore. When I have time (I always tell myself) I will get a regular game set up somehow with someone but as it stands, dakka is the place that I go to for my hobby friend fix. There are a lot of good people here, and always something interesting to read about, pretty much evenly split between the WAAC competitive list-builders (I blame MtG for this mindset, mostly) and hard core hobbyists (like myself, though not so hard core I guess).

Anyways, this is a good place to hang out and to get your bearings until you land somewhere that makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

Until then, welcome and I look forward to reading your posts.
