So, never happy with the price of GW products I have once again decided to sculpt my own using bits and pieces. In this case the base of an ogre kingdoms figure I got cheap. I chopped the legs up and repositioned, and sculpted my own arms on wire. The tank top isn't perfect, but I'll touch it up more perhaps. [edit: I just blended the shirt in...so he is bare chested again] The funny thing is he is taller than a regular ogre figure, and yet his head still seems oversized--I guess the original ogre figures have huge heads. The power maul is just the regular club with wire added. The slab shield is old square bases, plasticard, goblin shields etc. Still needs some work on the back. I may have made it a bit large...but for me, that's fine. Here's the pics, let me know what you think. Few more in progress I may adjust.

How absolutely, 100% cool!!!! Great job, but just might need a little clean up on the belt buckle.

My Novella Collection is available on Amazon - Action/Fantasy/Sci-Fi - https://www.amazon.com/Three-Roads-Dreamt-Michael-Leonard/dp/1505716993/

Okay so an update on the Bullgryn sculpts. I fixed the belt buckle on the first one. Here is a picture:

And here comes number two! I still have some tiny detail work to do, but you can more clearly see the ogre kingdom base in this one.

Still need to find some bits for the edges and back of those shields. Number three is about 75% done. I sculpted him some chest armor, so at least one of these three guys has some sense (if that ever applies to bullgryns)

Let me know what you think, and thanks for the input MDSW.

[edit] A note on GS work. Multiple layers often have slightly different shades to them (mixture differences) so some of what appear to be lines and gradiations are blended in and wont show when painted.
