Is there anything shooting wise that specifically says ignores cover modifiers?

I have seen a few items which state you are "-" to hit them with shooting attacks and weapons that don't need LoS to shoot units.

Just wondering if there are other scenarios that have come up.

Well, I know Dark Reapers ignore to hit modifiers and things with -5 AP don't particularly care if something is in cover (Reapers don't have that, though). But I can't think of anything off hand that flat ignores cover modifiers.

There are lots of weapons that ignore cover. It's on the weapons' profiles.

Right - but is there anything ignoring cover and cover saves?

cover saves aren't a thing any more. The only thing cover does is give +1 to your armor save and that's it.

on the other hand Nobz they decided it was in the best interest of ork society that they "Go Green" as such they specifically modified their warbikes to not make giant smoke, dust, grit, clouds. Instead they are all about driving with clean air, one might say their bikes Gak out rainbows.

Actually in the FW Index AM ...the Colossus Bombard does in fact ignore cover and also does not require LOS. The AM actually have a whole lot of weapons that do one or the other (ignore cover OR do not require LOS).

But depending on the target, they wouldn't get cover anyway, if he can't see them. Cover is not based on LOS from the firer anymore, but on the position of the unit in cover. So, if he's firing a Wyvern at an Infantry unit he cannot see, if they're not in woods or ruins, they don't get cover. Firing at a vehicle would be different, but they'd still have to be in the cover to get the save.

I don't believe vehicles (other than Dreadnoughts) benefit from Chapter Tactics.

Unless you find a way to mount a whirlwind launcher to a dreadnought, it won't benefit.
