Hey I have just started an adeptus mechanicus army and would like to add an imperial knight to it. However the knight household I want tot paint it like ( house Griffith ) is not directly aligned to the mechanicum. I have read some fluff about scitarii like soldiers being used for infantry for the knights and have also thought of using custodian guard and sisters of silence as 'nobles' . What do you guys think of this and do you have any other suggestions.
Thanks

I would imagine you could use Scions as your infantry type. They have the look to go along with a knight household.

I think it doesn't matter really. the mechanicus will go with any knight household to provide support.
also, imperial guard are often found accompanying knights.

There's a Skitarii/Secutarii group called peltasts and hoplites that ForgeWorld makes and that's their exact lore: they're the titan guard. They look fun, though I never played them.

I would suggest using FW 30k imperial guard along with some skitari parts to make the IK house infantry support; the 30k IG looks a bit bulky and steam punk that fits the look.

I would probably use conscripts and roughriders built from Empire bits led by 40k-style commissars and company commanders dressed in regal gear with your Knight. Makes a great juxtaposition where the leaders are all high-tech noble-governors while the common rabble are middle-age peasants (using conscript rules to represent them being less well trained than professional soldiers).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
