So, I have been slowly rebuilding my IG, my Marines, getting Ad-mech, and wanting to build Deathwatch(been wanting to do the last since 3rd).

Now, that is all going to cost a lot of money(deathwatch is likely to just be a patrol, so not too pricey). My marines will finally get some vehicle support this edition other than dreads and Ad-mech have some very expensive kits.

My Guard are going to need more artillery and Chimeras so I was thinking of re-doing something from a 4th edition tourney I went to: cut down and shaped bannister wood Chimera-chassis. My 2 bassies got broken(again) and my not be repairable; hellhounds can be hard to find.

Question is: should I make an all-wood chimera-chassis motor pool?full correct profiles, no modeling for advantage, dowel and balsa earthshakers, basically wooden scratch_builds.

I will see if I still have a Gen 1 quick-version of the chimera when I get home.

Newer variants will have more detail(gen 1 was a simple cut to length and bevel front with a very thin foamcore turret)

This is one of the mki blockmeras from just before a tourney back in 5th.

and these are the 18 new starter blocks that will be finished into various forms of Chimera, Manticore, Hydra, Bassilisk, and Hell hound. They all came from a single 8' banister rail.
