I have two sets of the DI Death Guard, as well as two of the plague marine easy-to-build boxes. In total, my army has the following:

20 plague marines
40 pox walkers
2 foetid bloat drones
2 noxious blightbringers
2 lords of contagion
2 malignant plaguecasters

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on how to expand this army (besides the obvious Typhus)? I would like to keep the army as fluffy as possible, and am open to adding nurgle demons. Or, should I wait until the Death Guard codex is released to expand my army?

Honestly it is hard to say without seeing the new DG codex which is coming in about a month. I would wait until then to make any large purchases. We know they get a new tank, their primarch, and maybe other stuff too.

Probably wait till the DG codex so we can see what is good.

Depending how they are, you'll probably want morty when he comes, maybe one or two of the new tanks, etc. Who knows what else will be available.

The only concrete advice I can currently give is consider getting a box of buildable plague marines when they come, and converting all of them as additional special weapon troops, to take advantage of 2-3 special weapons per 5 man squad.

that said if you have money burning a hole in your pocket I'd reccomend a helbrute or predator.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Hmmm, I have been eyeing a predator (especially since my Deathguard are in Pallid Hand colors). I was also thinking about adding a Rhino for my plague marines. Would this be good, or should I stick with the pred for now?

Honestly I don't really know. They could get a mess of rules that push them towards being a footslogging infantry force and make the rhino less useful, they could get some really strong heavy weapon options that make the predator less useful.

If I had to guess, I'd guess the predator is more likely to be useful when our codex comes around, because stratagems/tactics/rules encouraging footslogging strike me as being more likely than new powerful heavy weapon options that outshine the predator, in particular a las predator. On the other hand, rhinos are cheaper and regardless of what rules we get I can't imagine anything so drastic at least one rhino wouldn't be useful.

Get first strike for the additional PM and poxwalker models, variety is always nice.
