Sorcerer warptimes the warptalons in for a first turn charge then the Lord let's me safely supercharge my plasmas, easily putting down a rhino or chimera and letting me assault the squad inside. Then next turn I have enough reserve points for either a soul grinder, 20, plague bearers, 20 bloodletters, 5 bloodcrushers or 10 pink horrors with all of the attached blue/brimstones

Is there some obvious Achilles heel I'm missing? Is there better units to summon? And is this a viable competitive list?

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

I'd perhaps swap a Herald for the Changeling to make those Tzeentch daemons a little bit tougher. Also, you better hope that your opponant doesn't have less drops than you or that they steal the initiative, because if they do they only need to kill 5 very squishy units (which is another reason to get the Changeling to prevent you from getting blown off the board turn 1.

Also, you have less than a 50% chance of taking down a single Rhino with 6 plasma and a melta, on average you'll do 7.5 wounds to a Rhino: not enough to destroy it.

And rienforcements? Remember you still have to roll well enough to bring a unit in and you take mortal wounds on doubles/triples, don't rely on this.

I've never had a problem hiding 5 models completely out of line of sight of the enemy army, and I've never encountered something that could take out 20 wounds with 4++ in a single turn out of reserve. And with the rhino are you accounting for supercharging? Because I would always supercharge while the Lord is around. And I know summoning is not guaranteed I was just wondering if there were other units I should be considering

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

I know a Guard player who takes Vendettas (which can fly directly into your spawn and fire 6 Lascannons each at your units), Artillery (which do not require line of site) and scion command squads (incredibly cheap plasma spam). He could whipe you in a turn if he stole the initiative, though his list is extremely competitive. Also, he runs a 50 man conscript unit which lines up on the edge of his spawn, spaced out to prevent deep striking anywhere near his tanks. If you come across a Guard player like that you'll not be very happy (neither was I ). As I said though, the Changeling's aura can help prevent that kind of alpha strike.

The calculation is including supercharging.

I'm not much a fan of summoning since too much is left to chance. Though if I was going to summon something I would summon Bloodletters or Seekers since it would be a good way to get them into combat. I suggest to you however to summon as many units of 1 Blue Horror + 9 Brimstones and drown your opponant in smite.

Surprised you didn't include a hell drake or two. Always get the first turn charge burn and charge.

I'd also be tempted to include some Horror/brinstone units (instead of the reinforcement points) for objective, protecting the Heralds and throwing out some more smite fun.

Unfortunately lots of list will easy answer this with cheap bubble wrap units- drones, brimstones, guants, constripts etc.
