I have a 2000 pt local tournament coming up. I was going to bring some GSC purestrain but they've been nerfed in a recent FAQ to 15 pts each. So I decided to just wing it and take no genestealers at all! Instead... here's a Brigade of lots of threats.

Total: 2000 exactly. CP: 12

19 units, 9 start in reserves. That includes the Trygon, 20 devgants, 2x ripper units, 2x ravener units, red terror, mucolid and lictor. In the backfield, Old One Eye will get onslaught and hive commander to launch into melee turn 1. Flying Hive Tyrant will get close enough to the deep strikers to grant synapse. Trygon Prime also provides them with synapse. The Trygon Prime, devgaunts, red terror and 6 raveners will all deep strike relatively together and all shoot and try to charge (except the devgants). The lictor will play it solo depending on what I'm facing.

The 2x Carnifexes, Swarmlord, Flyrant, 30x termagants and Old One Eye can start the game within the protective bubble of the Malanthrope. After that, the malanthrope will do his best to keep up with the carnifexes and will try to get into melee with a single-model unit before it dies in order to grant his buff to the army.

The zoanthropes will deploy wherever they can to get closer to a juicy target for smite. I have 3 psychers that can each cast 2 powers. So that could mean 3 smites and all 3 tyranid powers.

The ripper swarms (and possibly lictor if there's no juicy target) will arrive on turn 3 to capture objectives.

And to top it all off... I get 12 command points. I won't get to go first but everything on the board will be in range of the Malanthrope in that case, so I expect to maybe lose the swarmlord or old one eye. I won't be charged from deep strike cause I'll use the 30x termagants as a screen if I'm facing deep strikers. But my strategy isn't ruined if Swarmlord or Old One Eye is destroyed on the first turn. It just means I'm assaulting on turn two with a bigger unit instead of turn 1. Everything deep striking will be able to arrive un-scathed and at least shoot before being threatened.

It's a threat overload type of list, and I'll get a lot of rerolls. So we'll see how it does.
