Here's a variation of a Space Wolves list I posted a month or so back. I've tweaked it a bit to hopefully make it more optimal as well as adjusting it per the recent FAQ's. I'm curious to see what Dakka thinks about it as far as effectiveness.
Battalion Detachment
HQ:
Canis Wolfborn
Rune Priest on Bike: Runic Axe, Bolt Pistol, Powers: Smite, Jaws of the World Wolf
Troops:
Blood Claws: 5 men + Wolf Guard Pack Leader: 1x Plasma Pistol, Plasma Pistol and Frost Sword on WGPL
Blood Claws: 5 men + Wolf Guard Pack Leader: 1x Plasma Pistol, Bolt Pistol and Frost Sword on WGPL
Grey Hunters: 9 men + Wolf Guard Pack Leader: 2x Plasmagun, Combi-plasma and Frost Sword on WGPL
Elites:
Wolf Guard on Bikes: 5x Storm Bolter, 4x Storm Shield, Frost Sword on Pack Leader
Wulfen: 5 models: 2x Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield, 2x Great Frost Axe, Leader with Frost Claws
Fast Attack:
Thunderwolf Cavalry: 4 models: 4x Storm Shield, 2x Chainsword, 1x Frost Sword, Thunder Hammer on Pack Leader
Thunderwolf Cavalry: 4 models: 4x Storm Shield, 2x Chainsword, 1x Frost Sword, Thunder Hammer on Pack Leader
Dedicated Transport:
Rhino
Razorback: Twin Lascannon
Razorback: Twin Lascannon
Total 2000 points exactly
The Blood Claws would ride in the Razorbacks, while the Grey Hunters would ride in the Rhino. Pretty much everything would move up the board on turn 1 and hopefully be in my opponent's grill turn 2. I went with all Storm Shields on my TWC and bikes to maximize durability. The Wulfen would use their Curse to help other units make it into combat, and Canis Wolfborn would stay with the two units of TWC to buff their attacks with his aura. My main concern with this list, as with my previous iteration, is the lack of heavy firepower other than the Razorbacks. I've got a few Thunder Hammers, but is that enough? I feel like I could absolutely shred an infantry list, though.

You will struggle to pop a lot of armour or against MCs. Maybr swap out a unit of TWC for a rifle dread or some longfangs. You may even get some spare points for some flamers on your BCs.
As an alternative, you could take 3 landspeeders and give them multi meltas. Fits in with your mobile force theme.

I considered dreads and long fangs. I really don't want to drop any TWC, though, as they are my favorite SW unit. One unit I wish I had that might be useful in this kind of list would be a Stormfang Gunship. Maybe if I dropped the WG bikes entirely and cut a few upgrades here and there I could fit one in. I probably won't be getting a Stormfang model any time soon, though, but it's something I'm definitely going to think about for the future.

You can drop the bikers and the twin lascannons on razorbacks. Take twin assault cannons on those transports and a a unit of long fangs with 5 lascannons instead, if you struggle with points cut the plasma pistols.
The problem with this list is that you have 6 anti infantry units: your troops, the bikers and the TWC. If you really want to keep the TWC and the battallion detachment you don't have tons of options available to change the list. I also love the TWC, and I can suggest to bring another detachment: you'll end with fewer CPs but a more flexible list.
You can field 3 razorbacks with twin assault cannons, 2 units of 6 grey hunters with a plasma gun and a unit of 5-6 wolf guard all with combi plasmas for example.

From the perspective of a marine/militarum player, TWC are interesting to look at this edition.
The extra wound means that bolters are now 50% less effective against them, but the improved odds of hurting T5 means that lasguns are actually 33% more effective against them.
