Hi everyone, I've followed W40K lore for a while, but never purchased anything. That has changed, I've just purchased the 8th edition, Imperium 1 index, and have the Codex on pre-order. I'm strongly considering (all but have) getting into this expensive habit, so I thought I would register here and say hi.

I found it a bit funny how you and me got into 40k the opposite way. I played the game (Tabletop not video game) first then learned about the lore.

Hey! Who am I kidding, it's probably happening. In any event, I'm being called to serve the Emperor in the Space Marines. I'm 98% sure I'm going to create a primaris heavy White Scar successor chapter. I have the narrative in my head, but don't want to go to deep right now and right here. I'm thinking my colors will be a medium grey trimmed with blue and a touch of gold, though. I have narrative reasons for the colors, but again "classified" is on the folder at this point.

I actually have a link that leads to a list of the majority of the space marine chapters and colour schemes for them if you'd like to see them and maybe get some more ideas?

Currently?
It's kind of odd, I'm mostly relegated to painted these days, because I'm pretty okay (I mostly started to make some extra money and learn how to paint by practicing on other friends stuff)
But I'm mostly (As you could tell by the name) a Tau player, Though I've lost a lot of pieces for them sadly,so I need to stock up again soon!
Right now I'm actually building up my tyranid forces because why not go on the polar opposite side of the play spectrum for fun and all that.
I have a single squad of Imperial Guard, might sell them off.
But I do have a lot of bits and bobs from all the people whom give me stuff to paint (Some people ask me to buy stuff from my local shop, giving me the money to buy it and then pay me to paint it and ship it off to them. So I do have a few misc sprues of Space Marines and orks laying around)
