Trying to get myself a competitive-ish list for around 2000pts. This is what I have currently as an idea.

The idea behind the scarabs is to use to prevent deep strike threats in the early game. I don't like the idea of people dropping in and charging me immediately which is inevitably my weakest point.

Anyway the list. No real gimmicks or flashy-ness to this list, just what appear to be fairly solid choices. Opinions and feedback really appreciated. Never had an army of this size before let alone in 8th.

I think that I like List #1 the most. It seems like the most efficient but I don't have any personal experience with forge world.

Out of curiosity why did you decide to go with the Overlord for your second HQ? I see that you have 10 Immortals with Gauss. Have you considered making them Tesla for the Overlord buff and replacing the tesla cannons on the tesseract ark with Gauss cannons? I suppose it really depends on whether you think that you'll be moving your tesseract ark a lot but this set up would allow you to take greater advance of the overlords MWBD while still getting some powerful strength 5 weapons in the mix. if you are moving then Tesla is clearly the superior option with its assault profile.

the tesseract ark is like the doomsday on crack. Probably more efficient to have multiples of them, quantum shielding all that good stuff. A d6 str10 -4 d6 damage main gun

The reason I have the immortals with the gauss is because people like to drop in assault troops. Assault armies seem to be doing rather well at the moment.

The unit of 10 warriorsr is mostly sacrificial with the scarabs. The idea being when something gets charged it either dies or runs in the following round, leaving 20 shots of str 5 hitting on a 2+ (my will be done usually) with rerolls of a 1 from TR on the spider.

It's my answer to deepstrike terminators. I find tessla without ap tends to be less effective as marine heavy meta I suppose in my area.
