As the title suggests I have recently started a new Death guard army that I want to expand. I would like to have a "Healty" Death guard-Nurgle force that I can play for fun and to play competitivly but have some issue with gathering models and would like some help;
1 What Chaos unit have Nurgle keyword or gain Nurgle keyword and what are good Chaos Daemon and CSM units to have in a Death Guard - Nurgle list? I don't want Tzeentch or Khorne or whatever just interested in Nurgle and Death.
2 What would you recommend to buy? Get more Start Collecting boxes, those easy to build boxes, plauge drone, nurglins, Marines?
3 what is a good Death Guard-Nurgle 2000pt list? I know this is not the Army list thread but I would like a "guide" line to some army lists so I can start playing right away and really get a feel for the army before the codex comes out.
I currently have 2 sets of Death guard from the Dark Imperium box, 1 Start Collecting Nurgle and a No Know Fear box as well pre-ordered with someone interested in swapping more death guard for the PSM.
you don't wanna go too wild without the DG codex as it's pretty clear that new stuff is coming etc. However, if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket I'd suggest snagging 2 packs of the easy to build death guard plague marines. as that'll enable you to bring those squads of 7 death guard up to 10. you could then/also/or buy some rhinos for your plague marines anything else I'd advise on holding off till the codex
Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
I wouldn't be 100% certain on Rhinos, largely because I can see the codex pushing DG towards foot slogging with blight launchers. Good advice otherwise, though.
As far as stuff to buy, you really can't go wrong with anything in the list on page 57 of the Chaos Index that can take the DEATH GUARD legion keyword. All of those units would be able to benefit from the auras/special abilities of your characters.
