So the idea is to make a Tyranid army that gives that Aliens feel without needing to make any conversions. I plan to buy the Space Hulk Genestealers, regular purestrain genestealers, the patriarch & broodlord models, rippers, spores, trygons, some old school ripper jacks (facehuggers), & Sector Mechanicus Industrial Bases for all the minis. I will add a couple dead Cadians (painted up to look like Colonial Marines) to some of the bigger bases to add to the Aliens vibe. Thoughts?

Swarmlord (using old tyrant queen looking head), 4-6 broodlords/patriarchs, 80+ genestealers (xenomorphs), 2-4 trygons, ripper swarms (chestbuersters), Spore Mine Cluster (not floating, but on bases like Aliens eggs)... I'll add some ripperjacks onto somw bases.

Space hulk also comes with a broodlord so all you need to worry about is the oval base for him and the 22mm base for the genestealers.

I just got done basing all my space hulk minis and they fit pretty well. Just trim off the thin base and trim the base area of the larger minis to fit (for example the one hanging onto the doorway just cut away the excess flat base while leaving all the detail of the doorway intact)

Some will overhang bases but they fit pretty well

Also check out Amazon for the full game and compare that price to getting just the genestealers minis, even when based you can still use the minis in the board game. And if you can get the entire thing for $20 more than just the genestealers it's worth it even to sell unused minis
