I would like to use some forgeworld stuff in my list, however the Battlescribe app doesn't let me unless I make another detachment. Which would require more models than I have points for. Is there a way to get around this?

Battlescribe is just being finicky, fw fits into your detachments with regular gw models just fine. Kind of like how it won't let you mix csm/daemons in the same detachment for some wierd reason.

Is this something that might be remedied soon?

It can be kind of angsty. I recommend just adding an unbound detachment so you can put the right model in - it's probably the most painless way to do it.

They've been pretty good about keeping 8th up to date so far. I'd have faith.

Get the actual rulebooks, don't trust third party army builders. FW units go in your normal detachment just like any other models, as said in the rulebooks.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

An army builder program is almost required in competitive play.

I certainly trust the math skills of a team-managed program with years of reliability more than I do the math skills of the average opponent with a pencil and paper.

That's what I did. My only concern is if its tournament legal to do so if it says "bound" list.

100% legal I promise, don't let battlescribe formatting fool ya xD. Unless specifically banned by a tourney than fw is always legal now

So you say, in a thread about a case where a third party army builder is blatantly wrong.

You add it as a child detachment instead of a parent one.

Click "Edit Forces" > Click the Parent Detachment (like so) http://prntscr.com/g2i2he > Click Add > Add the Race you want to the detachment.

Except it isn't wrong, this is just a case of a user not knowing the functionality.

You can make a list inc fw easy. Pick your main detachment, click add, choose your detachment to add it to and boom. Job done

You can add them to your detachment, just select it as the parent list. There is nothing wrong with Battlescribe in this aspect, it works fine.
