First of all, fart here again with a question that I'm not sure that's in the correct fourm. I went here cause it made sense since it is related to painting and modeling. I've been told by a friend and with what little answers I can find online you can use bleach to strip and as well remove super glue from a model.
Super Clean doesn't seem to do the job of removing paint or softening it up, love it as a product for stripping though!
Can anyone confirm this and what kind of bleach product I should use? I live in the US

I have never heard of using bleach on models. Super clean has always done the job for me and turned super glue to almost brittle nothingness.

Do a search on 'stripping models' or stripping paint.
this question comes up VERY regularly, and many people help with their experiences - do them justice by taking the time for a search.
if you don't want to bother - then the short answer is simple green or super clean. Yes, they work, let them soak longer, then scrub with an old toothbrush if the paint is exceptionally stubborn.

Mind you, get the "Heavy Duty" stuff for Simple Green (or concentrated, forgot which one). Apparently in the last half decade they put out something weaker and that does absolutely jack to acrylic paints and that has turned off a lot of people from it. I had to do a double take when I was buying a bottle and realized there's more than one kind now.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |

Many strippers don't react well to water. Scrub without the aid of water or your stripped paint will turn to sticky gloop and become harder to remove.

dip some left over sprue in bleach and see for yourself, I'm not sure what bleach does to plastic, but I expect it melds it

Depends on the plastic.
It's know for stripping the plasticiser out of polypropylene (leaves the polymer, but breaks the "chains" so to speak, leaving it chalky).
OTOH, it doesn't touch some other plastics like PET.

Bleach is pretty damn corrosive.
Test on sprue but likely it gonna wreck it.

Yeah testing on spur is probably the best course of action.
would be pretty cool to find a new alternative though trying to dispose of the waste is not going to be fun.
