So I've been playing with DE for a while now but this new codex had invigorated my love for the beast pack. I just font like the static pose blue gorilla model GW offers. Anyone know of some good alternatives? would like to retain size but it doesnt have to look anything like the current clawed fiend.

I use Chaos Demon Furies.

Closest and easiest I can think of is the Crypt Horrors from AoS. Trolls and Kroxigors can work too if price isn't an issue. Basically any AoS monstrous infantry other than Ogres would work (come to think of it the Yhetees and Gorgers would be good too).

I use the crypt horrors as grots or I'd pick them up, not heard of the others, will have to check them out.

Then Yhetees might be the perfect ones, considering they're basically trolls in furry suits.

the models and size are near perfect it's...just....those faces lol, what do you suggest I do to make them more "alien" looking? I.E. the clawed fiend has like 20 eyes

That would be a harder one, considering the fiend's head is pretty distinctive and unique. I can't think of anything good off the top of my head so either you'll have to do some GS work or find an alternative elsewhere.

I've been looking at thos enew basing skulls GW will be releaseing soon, to hollow one out and use it on a Hellion to make a Beastmaster. The same might work on one of the larger skulls to fit on a Yeti and make a Clawed Fiend.

Also, I'm assuming you used the Crypt Horrer parts of the set to make Grotesques just like I did, but I've been wondering about using the Vargheists winged arms in the set to make Clawed Fiends, they'd be distinctive enough from my Grotesques to avoid confusion.

Have not heard of the new skull kit, will keep an eye out. And yes, you may be right about the varghiests... maybe I'll just add some GS fur to them and mess with the faces a bit.

nipple count is extremely important when finding alternatives. Any true GW fan boy will call me out and ban me for life if my nipples arent on point.

What do you guys think about the Varghulf Courtier? is the size about the same?
