Hi everyone, what do you think of my Tzeentch daemons list? Haven't tried it out yet and open to some suggestions. Listed are the models I currently own. Any recommended additions let me know!
Magnus the Red
Lord of Change
Herald of Tzeentch on Disc
3x Screamers
5x Flamers
Flamer Burning Chariot
3x Horror Squads (1 Blue, 9+1 Brimstone)

Tzeentch daemons do not have much in the way of melee. Maybe a couple of flying princes with talons? A detachment of 3 exalted flamers with a herald escort goes nice too. Horrors for smite spam. I bought 3 burning chariots and broke it up into 3 exalted flamers, 3 heralds on discs, 6 screamers and a unit of blues. Take staffs for extended smite range.

I have noticed that and so Magnus & LoC would have to be my CC units and then disengage when needed.
I like the idea of screening Exalted Flamers with the smaller units since it's a character. Once I get more units (such as the DP) I'll put the talons on him like you suggested
Is Smite really that effective with the three Heralds on disc? Roughly 300pts for D3x3 wounds per turn

3 units of horrors + 3 heralds + LoC + DP = 8d3 mortal wounds. Was that landraider a problem? They have +1S aura too
|

So in your opinion, for smaller point games, should I include more Heralds on disc rather than a Magnus & LoC?

I play 2k games with 2 DPs and do fine. Magnus and LoC are good. Only issue is wounds >10. Play test some variations see what works for you. I like to mix it up

I would definitely recommend picking up more Heralds, Smite Critical Mass is a very strong way to play the game.

Awesome thanks for the reply guys.
For 2k points that list has some mighty psychic output as well as the shots from the exalted flamers.
Looks like all i need now is like you mentioned, a couple boxes of chariots, and some DP's

From my understanding, screamers are underwhelming in this Index and so the chariot wouldn't provide much for the extra points. Someone with more experience can chyme in. I am currently looking up the Flamespyre as a way to convert a daemon prince ...
