The paint job is really nice, but I'd recommend a lighter background in the future so it stands out more.

Yes, please.

One of the 'rules' of the Showcase Forum is that a thread here has to have some pictures in it - we'll give you a day or two to fix this (you can use the Dakka Dakka galelry, for example) before we have to move this thread out.

Thanks!

It does, very nice, great quality tabletop. Smooth and crisp, my only comment would be a few other instances of color variation here and there could add alot, a few spots of brass/gold, or reds or something. Right now, VERY white/blue/steel. Not that that is a bad thing mind!

I really like that. A lot. Good transitions, edging, transfers, etc.

I do agree with MajorTom. Some Veteran striping would really help make it pop. Kneepad variation too with a Company color maybe?

Still though, very nice work. Beats the usual bright cartoonish Ultras I tend to see from GW.

I found, when assembling this model, the legs didn't want to stand correctly and I ended up pinning the torso to the legs. I have put 2 together.

Did you experience this, or am I just missing something. I have been modeling for over 20 years now (jeez) and I normally don't have this kind of problem.

The only problem with legs I had was trying to glue them backside

Great work. I agree it could have done with a touch more colour but what you've done with the limited palette is quality

For what it's worth I've put 3 of these together and the legs are a pain to position so you get a level torso. You have to have the two hip ring things rotated pretty far forwards to get an even surface for the torso to attach and the torso, leg and foot joins are pretty horrible IMHO.
