Hey everybody,

trying to figure out a fluffy reason for a knight to be fielded with my Steel Legion army. I'm also working on an ork army (with a Stompa), and as I'm mainly a historical gamer, the historical scenario aspect of the Armageddon war is appealing to me.

So! I got a knight, and want to use him.

A bit of background - I haven't paid much attention to 40k in the last 10-15 years, but 8th has dragged me back in. I played a ton of Epic in the 90's, so very familiar with Titan Legions and Knight Households, at least, in the older fluff. But I'm not sure how much the fluff has been altered.

From my brief research, there were several Titan Legions on Armageddon, but "back in the day", knights were in feudal households and not so much under AdMech control.

Has fluff changed enough that Titan Legions involved in the Third Armageddon War would have Knights on the ground?

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

Given the scale of the Third War for Armageddon, I would expect Knights to have been present - even if it was just a few Freeblades. I wonder if there's any mention in the recent-ish novels.
