Hey Guys, so...let us talk about the Black Legion.

I'm gonna start with them and in my mind I've a list build around smth like;

-Abaddon

-up to 2-3 Sorcerers with Jumppacks (different Marks)
-2 Units of 20 Cultists (Tide of Traitors Stratagem!)
-1 Unit of 15-20 Marines with Plasma/Combi-Plasma
-1 Unit of PlagueMarines (10-20?)

That's our footslogging core element of the army. What do you think?

Now we need something against Vehicles and Superheavys.

Hellbrutes or Predators are the way to go, or Khorne-Terminators with melters / icon. 1 of the Jumppack Sorcerer can drop with them and give them warptime, after that he's fast enough (Jumppack) to join Abby and his friends.

I rly want to add Fabius, but he's so expensive (points)....

What do you think about the new Black Legion and what's your list-ideas?

Why do you want large squads once again? Maybe a bunch of smaller squads to max CP to actually use all those fancy strategems. CSM aren't orks - smaller squas work perfectly fine.

Abby gets +2 CP now.

Also cultists are a nice way to fill in mandatory troop slots to fill out a Battalion detachment. 1 large squad (that can be restored to full strength and redeployed with a Strategem) and 1 small one (tax). Then you can use your third slot for a big unit of Chaos marines. Probably clocking in at around 6-700 points for the lot, plus Abby and a second HQ.

Vanguard detachments need 1 HQ and 3 elites to function. Space marines have some dirt cheap Elites that are awesme (Honor guard and Apothecary cost in at around 50 points each) I can get a Vanguard detachment with Marines for around 250 points (Lt, Honor guard, Apothecary, Ancient).

You could probably string something together with Chaos, but for more points. Helbrutes are elite and they look awesome this edition, Abby is going to want his mandatory terminator squad, and most Chaos players run around with a squad of 5 Chosen with Plasma (or three).

3 CP for Battleforged, 3 for the Batallion, 2 for Abby, and 1 for a Vanguard is the minimum CP you should be bringing.

No arguing that Abby is great. Well, good at very least. But i still don't see why would you WANT 20-man csm squads. I can see it for cultists with a strategem. Especially with Abaddon around so that they won't get murdered with ld beforehand.

I'll try to test out 20 csm squads + termies + chosen as they propose anywayz. Just to see how it goes. But i doubt it's gona work better than min csm squads and more cp for fancier termies and chosen.
