When you're embarked, you don't exist for all intents and purposes unless another special rule explicitly says otherwise. You want to repair, you get out.

Yeh, so that's what I said. However, the point of my question was - How do you then repair with that model without becoming a liability?

It's seeming like the spanner upgrades, and transporting meks, is now totally worthless. The only repair option is the big mek on a bike.
