What forum / site can I browse to find some at? I've used a Google and Facebook and lucky to find maybe a dozen, and some of them don't return emails - so I'm assuming they're no longer painting. I'd prefer US, but don't mind looking elsewhere.

You've not looked very hard!

Showcase here in P&M, looking for threads with 'commission' in the title (there's a great many). Also look through the stickied thread in Swap Shop.

The forum search seems to be a bit... limited though. Simply scrolling through you'll find folks.

'Eavier Metal group on Facebook also has a great many.

You can't swing a cat in P&M without hitting someone who'll paint for the monays, as I'm led to believe the kids say these days.
