Standing outside Jester's house demanding the things he took from my underwear drawer.

I'm revisiting my Guard for the first time in 4th edition.

According to the poorly worded paragraph in the bottom left of the FAQ I can take just the Grenadiers doctrine without taking Storm Trooper squads doctrine and still use Storm Troopers as troops, correct?

I've seen the Reaper Exarch with both weapon options and both look like things you can buy in sex shops. A weapon should not look like this, not even a Emperor's Children weapon. -Symbio Joe

Correct. Grenadiers are not Elite Storm Trooper Squads.

Man, that is poorly worded! I had to read that like a thousand times before I realized that they didn't mean it was a two for one doctrine. I origionally thought they meant that by taking the 'Grenadiers' doc you could take both Storm Troopers (Elite, deepstrike, infiltrate, etc) and Grenadiers (Troop choice). Of course, that's not what they meant. Just throwing that out there for the others like me who read at a 2nd grade level.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1
