Hey guys,

I have a Necron Lord I'm painting in the Nihilakh Dynasty colours. I have his teal plating, silver body and a red Martian base for him to stand on. I am at a bit of a loss though as to what to paint his cloak as. I really am struggling.

I have consulted Google with all kinds of search terms and am struggling to find anything outside of black. My problem is with the colours mentioned above I'm weary of not making the cloak just clash by adding one too many colours to the mix. Nothing I think of seems to sound right. I'm wondering if some kind of dark green could work but I just don't know and I don't want to ruin the model by adding layer upon layer of repaints if I can help it.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for this? Its the Necron Lord with Orb that GW sell which I'm painting - the one with a tattered robe like the previous ones before they got all blingy.

Thanks in advance!

Have you considered darkening the teal and using it for the cloak?

Green or blue.

You already have red (on the base) and determine if your teal is closer to green or blue, then pick the other.

Alternatively, go yellow or gold.

Thanks for the comments guys. I went for dark green with a teal highlight on the very edges. Looks really effective and doesn't clash.

Thanks!
