I painted these just a little while ago to match a client’s RPG party. They are all 3D prints from Heroforge, where you can choose from a wide array of options for characters.
3d printed minis present a bit of a challenge for painters, as the grain is often visible in a few spots. There are a variety of ways to overcome this, including sanding and gloss, but ultimately you just need to be very careful with your shading.
For each of these, I got some pretty specific instructions on their color scheme. Here they are:
I've not painted a 3D printed mini yet, but I guess it's going to become more common in the future. Considering the sketchy looking detail I think you've done a great job - you've shaded them well!
These look good, and aside from the texture on anime sword guy's sword, I wouldn't have known they were 3D prints.
Looks like a very interesting party. Would love to know the background on the characters, especially the bikini one.
I think the green bard and the guy with the whip and shield are my favorites of the bunch. You really achieved a lovely shade of white on whip guy's clothing.
