Hey guys, this should be really clear cut, but I want to hear that common sense prevails before I order Storm Eagle for myself.

So I have Storm Eagle which moves towards enemy with normal Supersonic rule. So I pivot it 0-90 degrees first and then move something from minimum move to maximum move in straight line. All clear.

Next turn I find my Storm Eagle in bad position, so at start I declare that Storm Eagle will hover using the Hover Jet rule, which removes Supersonic, Airborne and Hard to Hit rules until my next movement phase.
So now while hovering I can move the minimum distance to any direction, including doing any pivots on flyers facing freely, thus moving like any other unit with fly can move, correct?

No because your doing it the wrong way, never go into hover, just charge the closest model because by charging with a flyer you can fully pivot In any direction once you make the charge and still retain all your bonuses.

But your last statement to the best of my knowledge is correct

That would be good advice except for, you know, the airborne rule it has which says, "this model cannot charge"

Help me, Rhonda. HA!

Is that specific to forge world? Because we were doing it with the space wolf flyers all the time.

No. You've been playing the Stormfang and Stormwolf wrong (see the first sentence of the 'Airborne' rule).

To OP, yes, if you aren't using Supersonic you move like any other model, and can be charged like any other model.

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"
