Hey Dakka; was wondering if people might help me flesh out a 750pts list for Sunday night

750pts a head, so far I have this:

Captain
(Master-crafted Boltgun, Chainsword).......74pts

Tactical Squad
(Combi-Plasma, Plasmagun)....................93pts

Tactical Squad
(Combi-Plasma, Plasmagun).....................93pts

Tactical Squad
(Combi-Plasma, Plasmagun)....................93pts

Devastator Squad
(Lascannon, Armourium Cherub)..............90pts

Devastator Squad
(Lascannon, Armourium Cherub)...............90pts

Devastator Squad
(Lascannon, Armourium Cherub)...............90pts

-So far I make this 623pts.

I have access to 2 Dreadnoughts, a Stormtalon (Las and asscannons), 3 rhinos/AssCan Razorbacks, 5 scouts (bolters) a chaplain (Boltpistol, Crozius)

(And a warhound but that's 1500pts base :( )

I would drop a dev and add as many razor backs as you can.

You can take a razor with a double laz for like 115. Its 11 wounds over 5. 2 las over 1. t7 over t 4. much better movement etc.

I know it's not a particularly imaginative core; but any ideas guys?

Tactics so far is to keep everyone reasonably close together; the Lascannons from the Sgts signums will be hitting on a 2+, re-rolling due to captain. the Cherub allows that cannon to fire twice once per game, per squad.

plasma should keep the 5man squad putting some hurt out; and if Capt happens to be nearby overcharging is safe.

so what do you all think the remaining 127pts should go on? I'm leaning towards 3 Rhinos at 40pts a piece, leaving 7pts? maybe meltabombs for my Captain to fill 5/7 of the remaining points?

only problem is the group is very wysiwyg; and I don't own the Lasturrets? only a set of custom assault cannon ones I made last edition?

I also really don't want to drop any marines; these 30/(31) are making a debut appearance and kinda want to show off my painting progress in one go, as vain as that is? how do we feel about the rhinos? some extra objective grabbers, and a layer of protection for my marines?

If you want to show off your painting skills, then maybe a critique is not something you are looking for with regards to your list? I think what has been said is excellent. I would definitely drop a Dev and then pick up two Asscan RBs for some mobility. Or you can drop one tactical squad for one of the RBs instead and keep your Dev firebase.
