Im struggling to find ways to use the furioso dread well, I have 2 with 2x fists each and im trying to figure out ways to use them to justify the points cost.

The pts cost is prohibitive, it's generally not efficient enough. The only viable method of delivery is with a stormraven. I wouldn't bother with it otherwise.

Stormraven or the forge world drop pod. To be honest the best use is as a DISTRACTION Carnifex.

1) Stormraven delivery

2) All dreadnaught army with character support


I don't see any other way of making them work. They are just too slow and too dangerous in CC not be shot up otherwise.

I find that personally speaking the Death Company Dread is superior to the bog standard Furioso. More attacks on the charge and able to shrug off wounds on a 6 (unlikely but still helpful compared to nothing).

I will echo the storm raven delivery being the superior option also, short of the Forge World dreadnought drop pod.

Just my opinion on that. Take it easy.

They will likely get a points reduction in the codex like the ironclad. They are not worth taking until then. They are terrible for the points.

Yeah I was doing a list up and im like jeez only 200 points for a dread, yeah nah think id rather have another triple las pred thanks.
