How would anyone kit a hive tyrant I'm thinking a Merle, shooty combo or all shooting or all Merle? Thanks any advice would be appreciated

I do rending claws and 2 spitters. I call his feet the rending claws. I run a flyrant.

The only foot slogging tyrant i have, I converted to the swarmlord.

Yep, Currently thats the best overall, though once a codex comes out...all bets are off So if you're "handy" I strongly suggest magnets.

The current tyrant needs a mellee weapon (rending claws currently best this edition) with BS3 it is a waste to not give him a ranged weapon.
