How do you know what model/unit can take these now? It doesn't seem clear to me. Thanks in advance.

For instance, company veterans say basically any unit can take any weapon so long as you replace the bolt pistol and chainsword. Can you have a plasma pistol, chainsword, mb char in the squad?

Are you looking to a specific book, army or unit for example?

It's listed in the weapon options for units that can take them.

The latest SM codex FAQ says tac squad sergeants can take melta bombs again.

Assault squad sergeants can take them as well.
