Battalion and Spearhead detachment
1x Old One Eye - 140pts
1x Malanthrope - 90pts
1x Malanthrope - 90pts
3x Tyranid Warriors 75pts - 1x Venom Cannon - Fleshooks
3x Tyranid Warriors 69pts - 1x Venom Cannon
3x Tyranid Warriors 69pts - 1x Venom Cannon
5x Hive Guard - 240pts - Impaler Cannons
4x Hive Guard - 192pts - Impaler Cannons
1x Exocrine - 228pts
1x Exocrine - 228pts
3x Biovore - 108pts
3x Biovore - 108pts
3x Stone Crusher Carnifex - 363pts - Bio Plasma - Tresher scythe - Bio-Flail & Wrecker Claw
Total 2000pts - 13 deployments - 7 CP
so the army has these long ranged shots (36"to 48"):
- 24 plasma cannon shots
- 18 Impaler cannon shots
- 6 Biovore spore launcher shots
- 3 venom cannon Shots
Malanthropes helps keep everyone alive longer
OOE, Carnifexes and Warriors are the close combat defense in case the opponent wants to get too close, they could try to venture out with a Malanthrope if needed.
I could always replace 2 units of Warriors for 3 Hive Guards to fill up the units to 6 each for more shooting and lower deployment but this would reduce my CP by 2 and lessen the synapse and close combat presence. I feel this is more TAC.

The one thing I feel like you're really missing is some cheap bubble wrap. Even just a unit of 30 Fleshgaunts to keep your Exocrines/Hive Guard safer, longer, would be a good addition.

Stranglethorn Cannons are better than Heavy Venom Cannons for prettymuch everything.
You could probably stand to lose one of the Stone Crushers or a couple of the Biovores for some cheap chaff. You could also drop the biovores entirely for a mix of Devilgaunts and regular fleshborer gaunts.

Why Venom over Strangle? I think Strangle works better vs swarms, and is still OK vs elite targets. And like the above, I'd be happier with some bubble wrap.

I kindof like the Venom cannon since the Str9 can really help to harm people over the Str 5 of strangle, ive been fighting against armies full of transport carriers which I need to pop to get to the chewy center and venom does this a lot better than strangle, I suppose its a question of meta instead of TAC. bubble wrap could be good but im having a hard time thinking of what to remove for this. I'm thiking that Warrirors and Carnifexes can do a decent job bubble wrapping

Sounds reasonable...Yep its a "meta" issue. It seems like Conscipt spam is all over, but if your local environment is differant. I think in this edition "bubblewrap" is more for filling space so DS has to land farther away, but that is again a local "meta" type thing.
Good luck! And good hunting!

Bubblewrap is more to stop your carnifexes being tied up in combat by chaff and taking 3-4 turns to get to where they need to be. Run a unit of gargoyles in front of them and the enemy needs to either shoot all of your chaff unit first or assault the gargoyles - either way the carnifexes are advancing first turn with the potential for second turn charge. The gargoyles can also assault the enemy as well to keep it from charging the carnifexes - if you trail the unit back into synapse range then they need to kill ever single one of them and that might take more than one turn of combat.

@Pinecone: yeah I have no AM players around me or other horde armies like orcs. All MEQ, Eldars, Dark Eldars, Necrons.
@ Ruminator: The Bio-Flail is great to avoid being bogged down by chaff as the more models surrounding a stone crusher the more attacks it gets.
The Carnifexes normally wont adventure away from the shooty force since they are suppose to protect them, chaff wont be able to keep them from getting where they need to be since they need to be around the exocrine and hive guards which they will start with.
The only time they might move away is if the enemy has no intention of getting closer which should only happen if he has no close combat to speak of.
