Since no one in my area plays SoB I haven't faced them since 3rd edition and even if I really love this army the ultra-expensive metal models discouraged me to start collecting and playing them. I'd like to finally give them a try though, by proxing imperium stuff into SoB, I'm not gonna buy the actual models. I've thought about something like this:

Battallion Detachment

HQ

Canoness with power sword (49)

Celestine with Geminas (250)

Troops

4x5 Battle sisters with flamer and heavy flamer in each squad (284)

1x5 Battle sisters with no upgrades (45)

Fast Attacks

1x10 Seraphim, 2 with double hand flamer, power sword (138)

1x5 Dominion, 4 meltaguns (118)

Dedicated Transports

6 Immolators with immolation flamers and storm bolters (630)

Heavy Support

3 Exorcists with storm bolters (486)

Total 2000 points

I'm not sure about the unit of sisters with no upgrades but I didn't have any points left, maybe I can give the squad a couple of stormbolters if I cut them from the exorcists. Canoness shares dominions' transport to re-roll their hits of 1s. Alternatively I was thinking about cutting the 45 points unit of sisters and one exorcist in order to add a unit of retributors with 4 multimeltas and with the remaining points I could the other units. I'm not interested in taking allies of any kinds. Any suggestion would be appreciated, I have no experience with this army.

From my research into sisters and little bit of experience in 8e playing them... here are some things I've found.

1.) Storm bolters are universally better than flamers on battle sisters than flamers. The only point where a flamer does anything of use is when they are being charged. Otherwise the storm bolter will be more efficient for the points value.
2.) Hand Flamers on Seraphim are terrible. Save the points and use regular bolters, or if you can find the points, put inferno pistols on them.
3.) Exorcists are rather underwhelming for basically anything you use them in. A repressor with five melta-doms (not multi-melta, too expensive for what its worth) is probably going to serve you better.
4.) As long as you have transports available, regular meltas might be better than multi-meltas.

Sisters can be really tough on their own. Lots of short range firepower. The fact that you have a lot of transports is really nice to see since it'll get all your girls in close range.

Personally, I've gone away from playing pure sisters since they synergize so well with a number of other factions, but I think if you take a look at some of the information above and then play-test a few games you'll be able to hash out an army that can take on most people.

Hi there, first time posting but I've done quite a bit of reading regarding sisters and have some experience with them in 8th.

It seems your list is tailored heavily towards dealing with hordes. Even so, that's way too many flamers. It is pretty thematic though, and could still be fun to play with and against depending on your local meta. If you absolutely must keep all these flamers, my only advice would be to drop a couple of BSS squads in favor of flamer doms. If you're open to ideas but want to keep things similar, I'd at least make the following changes.

1. Swap the hand flamers for inferno pistols. Like Fairemont said, hand flamers are pretty crap. Not sure if they'll go from D3 back to D6, but even then I'd stick with infernos. This way, they can go hunt TEQ and other scary stuff with Celestine.

2. Swap the BSS flamers for SB. In general, I think they're a lot more efficient. This way, they'll still be able to do the same things, and we can free up more points for some much needed AT. Remember, your immos already come with the best flamers, so you really shouldn't have to buy more for your troops.

3. I'm reiterating a lot of what's been said, but I think you have too many Exorcists. If you really want to bring them, I'd run 2 at most. It's a shame because I happen to like the model and the way it works. It adds a lot of flavor to the army and has always been fun to use. Unfortunately, they're a bit overcosted compared to other tanks. That and the fact that they are also not the most reliable source of AT, which means

4. You need more melta doms. I'd bring at least 2 more squads and put them in repressors. If you don't have any, immos will do fine.

With these changes, you'll end up with something a lot more TAC friendly, but still somewhat similar to your original list.

Battalion

HQ - Cannoness with power sword
HQ - Celestine and BFFs

Troop - 5 BSS with flamer, heavy flamer and combi-flamer
Troop - 5 BSS with 3 storm bolters
Troop - 5 BSS with 3 storm bolters
Troop - 5 BSS with 3 storm bolters

Fast - 10 Seraphim with 4 inferno pistols
Fast - 5 Doms with 4 Melta
Fast - 5 Doms with 4 Melta
Fast - 5 Doms with 4 Melta

Heavy - Exorcist
Heavy - Exorcist

DT - Immolator with immolation flamer and storm bolter
DT - Immolator with immolation flamer and storm bolter
DT - Immolator with immolation flamer and storm bolter
DT - Immolator with immolation flamer and storm bolter
DT - Immolator with immolation flamer and storm bolter
DT - Immolator with immolation flamer and storm bolter

This will put you at 2000pts on the nose. I didn't change any of the immos, as I wasn't sure if you had access to repressors. Keep in mind that if you were to swap one or two out for repressors (which I think work better with melta doms anyway), you would have enough points for another ObSec BSS. Another unit you may consider are arco flagellants. These guys are pretty nasty against GEQs. Skip if you want pure sisters. Otherwise, put 6 in an immo or 9 and a priest in a rhino for guaranteed fun times. Hope this helps!
