I'm repainting some of my chaos stuff (too much red on red), and just finished my Oblits!
And here's the old paintjob

Oh yes, bit too much red on the previous version. New paintjob is very nice!

Love em. These actually look like mutant Chaos Marines rather than Mutant Terminators the GW oblits are (which is weird since they're suppose to be techmarines)

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |

I've never been a fan of the cheese-melt terminators that are the traditional obliterator. I always wanted to do big brutes wielding massive daemon-weapons (I made a few failed attempts using WFB ogres, but when the new ogryn kit came out it was perfect).
The 8th obliterator guns help sell the idea even more, now that they arent specifically shooting different weapon profiles, though I am sad they lost their powerfists (which is why these guys have lots of stabby blades)

They look very unique...but I'm getting a strong Beebop and Rocksteady vibe from them!
I made some Obliterators recently too because I can't stand the actual model kit.

Nice work. Bases, armour and guns look great!
I'm curious what your recipe is for the guns? They kinda give of a Doom plasmagun kinda vibe.

Really cool take on Obliterators, amazing how well the Terminator heads work on the Ogryn bodies. The weapons look suitably Chaotic as well, cracking stuff.

The guns are just using a bone offwhite (p3 jackbone i think?) and then armypainter strongtone wash. I'm not sure I like it on such a large area, I might keep to just using darkgrey/orange for weapon cases.
