Hello folks of Dakka!
So, i'm embarking on making a pure Primaris chapter which since I decided I wanted to paint them silver with blue chapter pad colour and golden detailing, the nerd that I am suddenly decided to cross over two settings I love and label them Knights of the Silver Hand. I am looking to get them therefore some Imperial/Crimson fist pads to go with, but I am dubious about the Games Workshop failcast ones (as I like I guess most have had bad experiences with Failcast) and not touched any of Forge World's pads to know if they're decent enough. So, does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations on what to preferably go for and what to avoid? Also would be curious to know if there is any Pad options that fit Inceptors/Aggressors, do they basically have just Terminator pads or is it something else?
Thanks in advance all!

I have loads of the fine cast ones (fw sent me a few packs when their last transfer sheet, which I had the misfortune to purchase, was faulty). I couldn't use them as I'd already glued the pads on, but they look great, really nice detailing.

Forge world ones are fine. though ymmv I saw these and got very cheesed i didnt do this in the first place but shape ways does these its curved and so fits directly over the should pad. 17$ for 60 of them or something like that basically all the icons you can eat.

+1 on pop goes the monkey (above).
He does pads, shield and just icons like the above. Very reasonable.

3D printing, so plastic not resin. Occasionally might find a bit that's not perfectly smooth, but a quick shave with your hobby knife or a file will sort that.
I have pads and icons (not for Fists), no complaints.

3d printing comes in all flavors
i believe their frosted detail one is SLA printing using a light sensitive resin.
Im sure a quick sanding with fine grit sandpaper will take any artifacts off no issue.
