I'm about 95% sure of this, but I thought I'd get a second opinion.

Wierdboy waaagh! energy rule lets him add 1 to any psychic test rolls for every 10 ork models within 10" of him.

The question is, though, are deny the witch rolls, technically, a psychic test?

I mean, technically, psychic tests are used only to cast powers. Deny the witch tests work the exact same way, but are a different type of test.

By the same reasoning, I believe that perils cannot affect deny the witch rolls.

So, as much as I'd love to have a wierdboy nestled in the middle of 2x boyz mobs and get +6 to his deny the witch rolls with no perils risk, I'm pretty sure it's not legal.

The rulebook calls the roll made for Deny the Witch a 'Deny the Witch test'.

No, as Ghaz says a Deny The Witch roll is a Deny The Witch roll, not a Psychic Test roll. You don't get to buff your DTW, nor do you suffer Perils Of The Warp when denying.
