I bought DV several months ago, prior to the announcement of 8th edition. Now the marines are too small for me to want to use them as Plague Marines, bikes aren't available in a Death Guard army, the terminators have power fists and storm bolters, and I've got a bunch of characters, which isn't really a problem. I also have the chosen and unique aspiring champion (3 AC in total that I could use in a normal CSM unit), are chosen good with the loadout from DV? I can turn the mace chosen as a Dark Apostle if ever I use berserkers.

What should I do with what's in the box? I also have the DG half of Dark Imperium, and as such I'm going to convert the cultists into poxwalkers. Don't know what to do with the rest of the kit though. Should I use the marines as normal CSM with MoN, or should I just go full plague marines? What should I do with the terminators?

the loadout for the Chosen are crap; they all either have different weapons or just bolters. However it's easy to convert them to something else. The Bolter boys, axe dude and guy with power fist can easily be converted to hold bolters (in fact they have bolters on their backpacks if they're not holding them) and their size makes them good to supplement Plague Marine squads. failing that, it's easy to convert them into Possessed (not the greatest choice, but they're at least useful now with 2 wounds). Claw guy can either be turned into a Warp Talon with a jump pack (if you can get a spare, or the wings from the possessed box), turned into a possessed, or with some hacking given a bolter to be a Plague Marine.

The Chosen Champ can either be made into a dark apostle or Sorceror. Sorceror might take a bit more work since you'll want some scrolls, hoods or something on him but for Dark Apostle he can just be straight up used as is. Or maybe wait and see what the Tallyman does; you can easily replace his helmet hand with a ledger or something.

As for the Dark Angel stuff...eh not much you can do there. You can run the tacts as Fallen; should be easy to swap out their weapons for plasma guns. Otherwise you'd probably be better off trying to pawn it off on a DA player.

Should have mentioned that 2-3 terminators, the normal marines, and the biker captain all have been Nurgle-ified with green stuff.
