The assault claw is equipped with a Thermal Jet Array, which states:

"When fired, this weapon automatically inflicts D6 hits on each unit, friendly or enemy with at least one model within range. This weapon can only be used if there are more enemy units that will be affected, than friendly ones."

So in overwatch, to my knowledge, all weapons function 100% the same as they would in shooting, save for only hitting on 6s after mods. This weapon auto hits, so that is ignored.
My question, and it seems straightforward, but also feels wrong, in overwatch, this gun will still hit all units within 6", and cannot be fired in overwatch if there are too many friendly units in range, correct?

Seems pretty awesome if so.

Please be more clear about where exactly your forge world units come from (i.e. state exactly which book). It saves us having to trawl through all the books to find your uncommon units.

But yes, given there is no restriction on it, it fires in overwatch as normal. No errata has been made to change this.

Yep. Only 6" range so longer assaults can avoid it . And it hits your own units.
