Hi guys,
I just dropped back in in
40k early this year.
Since then I was a silent reader here, but as the following question still bugs me I felt the need to ask.
I searched a lot, not only this board, but still I am not totally clear on this (If my google-fu or dakka-fu just sucked, shame on me

):
How many standard weapons does a Heavy Weapons Team field additionally to the one
HW? And are
HWTs equippable with grenades?
The rules say 'two guardsmen form...", so they don't give up on their Lasguns or their grenades...you would think. Of course logic dictates it is one rifle and the
HW, but well...it is
40k at all.
For example a
HWT of
AM guardsmen (be it infantry squad or
HWS):
Is it one Lasgun and the
HW? Or is it 2 Lasguns and the
HW?
With the information I found so far I would go with 1 Rifle and 1
HW. Both can be shot.
BUT...
Now I know the Battlescribe data may be (and is) bugged and is surely no good source for the rules, but it is confusing me.
In Battlescribe the
AM HWTs get 1 Lasgun and the
HW, no grenades. Without any option to add more (Lasguns nor grenades). This confirms my theory of the 1 Lasgun + 1
HW.
Then you have the
DKOK Grenadier
HWT with a heavy flamer. There is no Hot-Shot Lasgun listed in the profile and no option to add one. Only the HFlamer + grenades. Also the
FW model does not show a Lasgun on the second guardsman.
And there is the
DKOK Combat Engineer
HWT with heavy flamer or mole launcher. You get the option to buy multiple Krieg Combat Shotguns and the Acid Gas Bombs for them.
So maybe you see my problems here.
Is there a different rule for equipping HFlamer Teams compared to other
HWTs?
Can I equip a
HWT with 2 rifles or with 1? Are the Guardsmen in a
HWT equippable with the according grenades?
Thanks for your help heretics
