All,

I recently let go of almost all of my Space Marines (Except tanks) so I could 'reboot' and finally play the chapter I actually respect and connect to the most. I want to really get the theme down with the Iron Hands. Most importantly with the look and style of play. I'm looking for almost all of my characters to have mechanical/bionic ascetics. I also will have a blend of Marines who have started their purging of flesh.

I'm looking for bits to help me accomplish this project. I know the typical like Forgeworld and Anvil Industries but I would like to know if there are more out there. I'm also looking to get the themed play style as well. I know about Dreadnoughts and Tanks but what about Marines and Librarians?

I'm basically asking for advice from those folks who have taken this step and want to learn from their mistakes or 'I wish I would have done it this way.'

Problem whit creating IH is that you have to use kits from multiple companys and not all uses the same size. There is a difference to hero model scale and non hero model scale as some companys says their model is, sadly moust of it is trial and error.

For your standard tacs GWs chapter upgrade works fine but i would advice you to NOT use the chest pices. they are very bulky and will mess whit your arms position.
Not mutch in that kit that can be used for devastator squads other then shoulder pad and heads.

Finding cyborg head sprues for space marines are nearly impossible, so i recommend to scout various gw bitshops online.

as for termi conversion that is a bit harder. clouses stuff i have found comes from here
https://hexy-shop.com/shop/sci-fi-miniatures/cyborg-x-92/
the parts scalewise fits a termi exept for the "bolter arm" it is way oversized, but you have to be good at modeling if you want to convert termis.
I am workin on a termi hq using the hq from forgeworld and the arms from above mention kit, but i see it is testing my knowlage of modeling.

As for dreds, if you skip the armor plating on the legs you have the visual setting right there.
You could allso use the open head chest option to place a bionic head there.
