Tyrannocyte or Trygon(Prime)?
If you are going to deepstike tyranids, which is better? Is ones "after transport" use better than the other?
What have you played? Thoughts on their field results? If running a prime, was Synapse a factor?

"Accept that Tzeentch has a place for all of us in his grand scheme, and be happy in the part you have to play." "This is Chaos. We don't "ka-frickin'-boom" here." |

I like both personally. The Trygon has much stronger offense and has no limit on the size of the units it may deliver, but the Tyrannocyte has the ability to carry a wider selection of units and is a bit cheaper. The Tyrannocyte also doesn't use a Heavy Support slot which can be advantageous if you need it for other things.

I think it depends on what you want to do. Bring infantry? Trygon Prime and charge him in first.
Monstrous creatures, zoans, pyrovores? Tyrannocyte, who can support with some ranged firepower.
I prefer massed infantry though, so I really haven't used either....

The prime easily makes up for his extra points for the synapse bubble.

Trygon/Prime to me seem too fragile for their cost though the Cyte isn't much better. I like to put ether swarmie or 6 hive guard in my cyte, and ether 20 genestealers or 30 Termigaunts w 15 DIV in the Trygon/Prime. Also if I'm using a Trygon I use a prime for the synapse and the extra shots. If I had to choose one over the other I use the Cyte more.
