Hi all,

I'm looking to build a BA list with a lot of death company kitted with plasma pistols and swords. Anyone know where you can source these? My first guess was an assault squad kit, as they've got 3 plasmas already kitted, but I have no clue for the swords.

I'm aiming for 6-odd swords and 4 odd pistols per 10 man squad, and I'll be running 1-3 squads per game, so the more the merrier!

You can try the third party companies like Anvil, Kromlech, etc. I don't know how cost effective that will be for you in Australia, though.

I'd suggest trying bits-world on eBay. They have tons of stuff, and I've purchased from them twice.

Just search for 40k plasma pistol or 40k power sword on ebay.

Try your FLGS, I know lots of people with spare bits that they'd give away or let go cheap.

The Assault squad sprues comes with far more plasma pistols than they can legally carry. Plasma pistols are one of the easiest special weapons to pick up second hand. Anyone who has played marines for a few years will likely have a bunch going spare.

These are wolfy but dirt-cheap. You could fill your boots are trim the SW iconography off.

ebay bits sites usually have a ton they are ususally like a dollar each.

The Grey Knight power armor box has a ton of power weapons. Plus good bits for kitbashing librarians.

All good mate, but if want just some parts from kits and want to save money I suggest the store above, I have found phenomenal in AUS.

The Deathwatch kit comes with six power swords for five marines. Hilariously, the awesome model with the two swords they show on the box STILL pays extra points for absolutely no rules benefit over one power sword.

The power armor kits from FW carry them I think.

IIRC those weapon sets from FW have a variety of weapons, but only 4 or 5 swords, matching only in pairs.

Vangaurd vetren kit comes with everything you need.
