Hi everyone!
Been a busy two weeks here at INSTAR so while I have a few spare minutes i'll give you all a quick update,
We've got in the new larger bottle sizes (50 and 100ml) but more on that in the next update, we've also made some more progress on the metallic shades too!
But the last couple of weeks have been spent creating the website which you can visit here, it's still in early stages and subject to change but feel free to take a look and see what you think!

I don't see any store section or anything on the website?
Also, in the gallery section, I think it would do you a tonne of good to have a bunch of well-painted models showcasing the paints. Often, WIP shots don't lend the same weight to someone's buying experience.
I'd try them out, provided $$$ is worth it!

There's a good reason for that haha
The product isn't ready for sale yet as we're still setting everything up, launch date should be towards the later part of the year hence the WIP shots, effectively they show that the paint is compatible with other brands but equally effective just on it's own as a standalone paint across an entire model.
Price wise, the paint is highly competitive and well worth every penny from the reviews and feedback I have had so far.
I will take on board the comments about the Gallery and emphasis that alot of these were WIP models, shots etc just to make it a little clearer...however, the Ogre was finished and painted entirely with INSTAR paint

I like the look of the site so far. Also its nice to see a family owned business. Wish it was here in the US though.
Looks like a good start to a good business.

I wouldn't worry about the fact it's not in the US, Quite a few of the testers hailed from there and the postage was quite reasonable so these paints will be available to buy in the US.
Thank you for the kind words, I'm looking forward to getting these final stages completed so the paint can become available to everyone

Thats good to hear.
Keep us updated when you go "Live" for orders, I will definitely be one of the early customers.
The simple fact that the paint comes in different sizes is huge. I dont think most people realize how such a simple, sensible concept can have such a big impact.

Thta's one of the things that people have picked up on the most, and the good thing is, the more you buy the more you save.
It's perfect for those who tend to base coat or undercoat a lot in a single colour, with my paint range and the reviews and feedback i've had (Just search for INSTAR using the forum tools) it's a perfect combination!
I'm currently working on metallics, I only have one so far which is an almost perfect likeness to Runefang Steel, but the ultimate goal is to have a Leadbelcher alternative available.

Excellent to see my models on the site I was one of the early testers and it's at least as good as the other brands. Has flaws and weaknesses like them but a good addition to any painters range.

He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. Thank you for letting me use them and thanks for being one of the early testers!
I've accelerated things along a bit, I should be ready to go with a full GW equivalent base range next month with a fistful of GW equivalent layer paints as well to get things going.
Hopefully I'll have metallics ready to go by that date as well or at least a Leadbelcher equivalent at the very least...should look pretty spectacular in a 100ml bottle!

I'm very interested in this, love helping small businesses. Knowing that shipping to the states is reasonable is huge for me, of course I'll have to see a breakdown of prices before I say I'll buy any. It'll be hard to steal my business from my local shop though.
I like the different sizes and the fact that it's pre-thined. Will you be including instar specific color ranges as well?
The website looks fantastic on mobile, I'd really love to see a mock-up or early example of the store. Some advice though,.As mentioned the WIP pictures detract from sales, alternatively I would suggest fake WIP pictures that are painted to look partially done. Also, make sure your store converts currency, for us in other countries haha.

Thanks for the interest! It's been a lot of hard work getting this far and it's all starting to come to life....bit like a Necron Army....but without the carnage
There will be a breakdown of prices once I get to the stage of getting the store ready, I think you'll find it's quite competitive. I will be including INSTAR Originals into the mix at some point, but that's a future project.
Thanks for letting me know how it looks on mobile, and there will be an update on here when the store is nearing completion, The Gallery will be updated, I keep getting images back so there are some new ones to go up
Oh for sure, currency conversion will make it so much easier for everyone

Glad to see that things are picking up!
Mobile version of webpage looks really clean and easy to use.
I might add that all the bottles that I received in the testing had child proof bottle caps which is a HUGE plus as I have a 3 year old daughter.

Hi there, Yeah things are certainly heading that way
Glad the site looks good on mobile and easy to navigate!
Regarding the childproof caps, that was the sole reason why they were added as I have a 3 year old myself so it was to also stop her using the paint thinking it was just like any other paint, that and so there was no chance of the lid "accidentally" coming off.
It's a feature that will run continuously throughout the range.
