This is probably my most ambitious sculpt so far, I had an idea for this scene and worked pretty feverishly on it.
Still working on the 'backstory', but the Priestess, Horse, and base will all be three separate parts. Will probably make a bust out of the priestess and maybe the horse as well. The Priestess' headpiece can be removed, so she can have it on or off.
Right now, I have a lot of little changes I want to probably make but the big one Im considering is making the base smaller. Basically cutting off the corner of the base to the left of the horse, making the overall shape a triangle. I feel like the base is
dwarfing the miniatures as it stands. What are your opinions?
And lastly, with these produced in high quality would they be a kit you were interested in? Im testing the waters as its always difficult to ascertain if a personal project is one other people would like as well. I plan on printing them in a few different sizes,
so that part is up in the air (And if a demand for them existed, I could always offer them in multiple sizes).
Another idea Ive had is sculpt the priestess to keep her current position, but have an alternate hand that is hold a staff of some sort instead of reaching up to caress her death horse.

Woah, I got seriously weirded out by the first image because I thought the back end of a goat was hanging from the priestess' skull helmet... Then I looked at the second image and realized that was just the back of the horse.
That is a really nice sculpt and you should be really proud of your work.
The base isn't too bad a size I think, let's someone add there own little twist the scene if they'd like with their own models, scenery, etc.
It's not a kit that I would personally buy but that's just because I'm not really looking for a priestess or undead horse, not because I'm not a fan of the models.
I'll agree with you on the arm though, at the moment it looks like she doesn't really know what to do with it. I think her holding a staff or having her arm out stretched as if casting magic would look better.
Hope this helps!

I have only good things to say about the sculpt, but specifically WRT the left arm, the staff/totem is a good idea. Having her hold something may be the anchor you need to make it look less floaty, especially if you make it a full length staff and can actually physically anchor it to the ground.

Very nice, it's a great composition and lovely detailing. Price dependant, it is definitely something I would buy, it looks like it would be fun to paint.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback so far everyone. In all honesty I was referring to her right arm for the alternate staff/totem. The left arm cast out is intentional to convey some motion, but if that is disliked by everyone then I might need to revisit the idea.
Im not sure what size for this is best. Im currently printing the biggest possible, making the horse 57mm tall. The horse and priestess are both being done on a Solus 3D, while the much larger base is being printed in a Form 2. Once I 'see' the scale and all Ill go from there...but it wont get bigger, I know that.

The right arm hadn't jumped out at me, but now you mention it I've looked a little closer.
All I can suggest is that if you're trying to convey a connection between horse and rider (I assume she's supposed to be the rider of the horse, even though she's dismounted?) then all I can suggest is that as someone who grew up around horses it is very natural to rest your hand on your horse when stood alongside, but in the sculpt it is a little too far back than feels natural, I'd feel most comfortable with my hand resting on or around the shoulder roughly in line with the withers. There's no reason for this beyond what would feel natural were I stood where she is.

Same here, I grew up/continue to ride horses. To be honest, the positioning is because of the open and festering rib cage, otherwise I would have had it on the withers. Looking back though, I would have changed it to come up a little higher towards the neck. I also originally thought the neck would be turned inwards more, so I didnt want too much cluttering that area of detail.

I was also a bit awe struck with the model design, but the prototype Looks amazing.
I also second the idea for a staff of some description to make your model pop a bit more!

I really like the arm petting the horse, but her left hand is just floating there. I understand what you mean with trying to convey some motion, but IMO it looks rather odd. Holding a staff would be pretty cool.

Thanks guys. Ill definitely do the staff, but Im going to leave it as an option, I think were her bracer goes is a safe place to make a cut to make room for the choice of hands.

Just wow this looks fantastic. It's hard to find much I'd change about it.
The only thing I don't like is the right arm... It looks like it's going too far back, like painfully so, or at least very awkwardly. I'd suggest trying to actually stand in that pose and see how it feels.
